This plugin lists only the subcategories (child) of the current category. It works fine on wordpress 2.3 but in 2.2 it shows also the links categories. It’s a simple category widget useful if you have many categories on your blog.

Meanwhile I found a better plugin then the one above, made by me. Check this link http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-dtree-30/

1. Create a new document File -> New (in this example I’ve used 320×240)
2. Chose a foreground color (grey)

3. Fill the background Alt+Backspace
4. Apply a noise Filter -> Noise -> Add Noise

5. Apply noise filter twice
6. Apply motion blur Filter -> Blur ->Motion Blur

7. Image -> Adjustments -> Levels (to make it darker and to give more contrast)

8. With rectangular marque tool select an area for a highlight effect

9. Apply feather to selection to make it smooth Select -> Modify -> Feather (25px).

Use Image -> Adjustments -> Brightness/Contrast and than deselect (Mac+d or Ctrl+d for Windows)
